Team: Séverin Ho Dac
Client: Lisbon Architecture Triennale
Context: ideas competition
Surface area: 100m²
Location: Luanda, Angola
Date: 2010

This competition concerns a low-cost housing prototype for a 7 to 9 people family, in the context of serious housing crisis in Luanda Angola. The house layout is based on a 10mx10m square following a 10/3m grid, which central void forms a patio.

The habitation is build according to the "balloon frame" wood structure method, with small spans which allow a self build process. The third row is used as a shelter and terrace, and constitutes a space reserve available for enlargements of the house, or business premises.
